IQCrew’s Science Discovery Series is designed to inspire kids to learn more about science. Microscopes are important tools which help children understand science and nature by allowing them to peek into the microscopic world, which is why they are a standard component of STEM curricula. Biology, chemistry, geology, and many more fields rely on microscopes to understand how things work.

Our new inverted design provides a big advantage over conventional microscopes, by allowing both traditional specimen slides and liquids to be used. By moving the microscope’s lenses under the specimen stage, there’s plenty room on top. A Petri dish can be used to hold liquid samples like pond water, hatching brine shrimp, or growing crystals. The inverted design also lets you adjust the focus without moving the stage, which could disturb the specimen.

How close up do you want to see things? The IN50C includes 2 eyepieces, and has 5 magnifications from 40X to 500X! The high-quality lenses provide a wide range of true optical magnification. Even better, the included 1MP digital eyepiece lets you watch everything on your computer! The included software can take photos and record video. You can edit the images using professional tools.

This kit includes a beautifully-illustrated book that will help guide first-time users through the history of microscopes, and how to perform some experiments right at home. The kit also includes materials to prepare your own samples, like a Petri dish and blank slides. There is a graduated cylinder for measuring, and a pipette for easily transferring liquid samples. Forceps, a probe, and a stirring rod are also included for preparing and positioning specimens.
